The initiative aims to improve the quality of education nationwide and address the shortage of qualified teachers across various schools.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"794\">The Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia, Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, stated that the implementation of the plan\u2014previously pledged by the ministry\u2014is nearing completion. He emphasized that the initiative is a critical step toward stabilizing teachers\u2019 employment and strengthening the country\u2019s education system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"1178\">The minister\u2019s remarks followed the participation of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, in the commemoration of Somali Education Day on November 22, 2025. During the event, the President firmly urged the Ministry of Education to accelerate the completion of the registration process for teachers who are not yet included in the official system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1542\">Minister Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir reaffirmed that the ministry will respond to the President\u2019s directive and will simultaneously roll out a comprehensive training program for all currently serving teachers. He noted that the initiative will focus on curriculum development, enhancing teachers\u2019 professional skills, and the rehabilitation of school infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1544\" data-end=\"1878\">The Ministry of Education stated that these reforms are part of broader efforts to advance the education sector, with particular priority given to areas recently liberated from Al-Shabaab.
