Somaliland President Holds a Crucial Briefing Session with the Chairpersons of the National Assemblies and the Chief Justice.

H.E. the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), today held an important session—a National Briefing—with the Chairpersons of the two National Assemblies, the Guurti (Upper House) and the House of Representatives (Wakiillada), and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The President briefed the senior leaders of the State’s branches on the general situation of the country and the progress of the nation’s affairs, particularly in the areas of security, stability, social affairs, development, and the conduct of Foreign Policy.

The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of national consultation, saw President Abdirahman Cirro provide a comprehensive briefing on how the Government is advancing its plans for peace, security, social development, recognition efforts, and diplomatic endeavors, all of which are progressing well.

The President also reported on his working visits to the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia, discussing the substance, objectives, and diplomatic successes of his trips. He noted that these two visits served to elevate the relations Somaliland holds with those countries while strengthening cooperation in the areas of economy, investment, security, and regional politics.

The President commended the senior leaders of the State’s branches for their vital role in upholding the law, democracy, and the smooth functioning of the national institutions upon which the Republic of Somaliland is founded.

For their part, the Chairpersons of the two National Assemblies and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court praised the President for his consultative approach, constant briefings, and the transparency in governance that he champions. They noted that this kind of collaboration enhances the confidence between the National Institutions and unifies national decision-making.

In conclusion, the President of the Republic of Somaliland stated that Somaliland has embarked on a path of development and political stability, founded on Peace, Democracy, Good Governance, and cooperation among the National Institutions.
