Garowe – (Sahan Post) – The Puntland Police Force has officially taken into custody a suspect handed over by the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). The suspect, Jaamac Abdi Mahmoud, is accused of committing an indecent act in the city of Qardho, located in the Karkaar region.
The handover took place in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland. Authorities confirmed that the suspect is now under police custody and that a formal investigation is underway to ensure due process and fair justice.
The Puntland Police emphasized that this step reflects their ongoing commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting citizens’ rights, and preventing crimes that threaten public morality and safety.
The police further urged the public to cooperate with security agencies by sharing any information that could assist in investigations or help prevent similar offenses in the future.
