President Hassan Sheikh Holds Meeting with His Algerian Counterpart

Algeria (Sahan Post):- The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is on the second day of his official visit to Algeria, was warmly received today at the El Mouradia Palace, where he was welcomed by the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

During the welcoming ceremony, the national flags of both countries were honored, and a guard of honor from the Algerian armed forces saluted the Somali President. Following this, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a private meeting with his Algerian counterpart, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The two leaders also jointly chaired an extensive bilateral meeting attended by delegations from both countries. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in key areas such as security, economy, education, health, culture, and diplomacy.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud thanked President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the people of Algeria for their warm hospitality and gracious reception, noting that the visit symbolizes the growth of the historic relationship between Somalia and Algeria.

For his part, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune praised the Somali government for its continued progress and efforts toward stability and reconstruction, reaffirming Algeria’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and strengthening ties with the brotherly nation of Somalia.
