SAHAN POST: The Venezuelan government has reportedly placed its military on full alert and developed a defense plan to counter a potential invasion by the United States, according to sources cited by Reuters.
Intelligence reports indicate that Venezuelan authorities have deployed combat-ready units across several regions of the country, preparing for guerrilla-style warfare — hit-and-run tactics designed to repel any potential U.S. military incursion.
Venezuelan security officials acknowledge that their forces may not be capable of engaging the U.S. military in a conventional, direct conflict. Instead, they plan to wage an asymmetrical war, opening multiple fronts to disrupt stability and prevent the U.S. from establishing a compliant administration in Venezuela should its forces enter the country.
This heightened state of readiness reflects mounting tensions between Caracas and Washington, amid ongoing political and economic pressure on the Venezuelan government.
