Mogadisho (Sahan Post):- The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia held its weekly meeting today, during which it approved a series of Memoranda of Understanding between Somalia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These agreements aim to enhance bilateral cooperation in the areas of media and cultural exchange.
The meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, also included comprehensive security briefings delivered by the Commander of the Somali Police Force and the Commander of the Banadir Regional Police.
The security briefings outlined notable progress in maintaining stability within the capital and across the country. They also highlighted ongoing preparations to ensure a secure environment for the forthcoming Banadir Regional Local Council elections.
The Cabinet praised the Somali National Armed Forces for their continued achievements in the fight against the Khawarij militant group, recognizing their efforts in protecting the safety and security of Somali citizens.
Furthermore, the Council strongly condemned recent incidents that contravened Somali cultural values and the noble principles of Islam, resulting in harm to innocent civilians. The government directed security institutions to bring all individuals involved in these violations to justice without delay.
