Mogadishu (Sahan Post) — Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, diplomatic sources confirmed.
The visit is expected to focus on key security and political developments in the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Gulf, regions that continue to face complex geopolitical and security challenges.
Diplomatic sources said the agenda of the meetings will include discussions on the situations in Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen, countries grappling with prolonged instability, conflict, and humanitarian concerns.
During his stay in Abu Dhabi, Minister Fidan is expected to hold talks with senior Emirati officials, focusing on bilateral cooperation, peacebuilding efforts, and the role of both countries in resolving regional conflicts.
The visit comes at a time when Turkey and the United Arab Emirates are strengthening diplomatic relations, driven by shared interests in regional stability, security cooperation, and the reconstruction and development of conflict-affected countries in the Middle East and Africa.
