Waddani Chairman Meets ANC Officials in a Milestone for Pan-African Cooperation

Pretoria – In a significant step toward strengthening international relations, the Chairman of Somaliland’s Waddani party met with senior officials from South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC) on Tuesday to discuss enhanced cooperation and a shared vision for the continent.

The high-level meeting featured His Excellency Hersi Ali Hassan, Chairperson of the Waddani Party, in discussions with members of the ANC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) International Relations Subcommittee. The ANC delegation included Deputy Chairperson Cde Supra Mahumapelo, Cde Lindiwe Zulu, and First Deputy Secretary-General Cde Nomvula Mokonyane.

The dialogue centered on key issues such as building robust political structures, advancing the ANC’s pan-African foreign policy objectives, and deepening democratic processes.

This party-to-party engagement underscores a mutual commitment to fostering peace, stability, and unity across Africa. It is seen as a pivotal step toward realizing the vision of a “Better Africa and a Better World.”
