Xingalool (Sahan Post):- Authorities in the Xingalool district of the Sanaag region are investigating an incident in which an eight-year-old girl, identified as Samiira Abdikariin, was reportedly subjected to sexual assault and physical violence in a rural area of the district.
The victim is currently receiving medical care at Garowe General Hospital, where medical staff are monitoring her condition.
According to local reports, three men have been arrested in connection with the incident. Security officials in Xingalool have confirmed that the suspects are in custody and that an investigation is underway.
Sources indicate that plans are being made to transfer the girl abroad for further medical treatment due to the severity of her injuries.
Government officials have stated that the case is under review and emphasized that legal action will be taken against those found responsible.
